BarrelHive Founder, John Paulick

BarrelHive was founded in 2023 by award-winning industrial designer, John Paulick. Originally intended for earthquake-resistant applications, BarrelHive's "rack on rack" rotating rack was quickly adopted by winemakers for its in-rack barrel rotation ability, drastically cutting labor costs associated with traditional winemaking.

Its honeycomb configuration fits more barrels in less space than traditional racks, offering wineries more storage capacity and, ultimately, more revenue potential. BarrelHive's design also adds tremendous perceived value to winery venues for weddings, receptions, tours, and other events.

Paulick also invented the Pyramid Rack, for a more traditional "rack on barrel" stacking method with the space-saving advantage of the honeycomb BarrelHive.
